Bartolomeu Dias, Inventors Route from Europe to the Cape of Good Hope
He was a navigator of Portuguese open lines by sea from Europe to the Cape
of Good Hope at the southern tip of the African continent in 1488. His adventures
in finding a trade route linking Europe and Asia will be forwarded and
evidenced by Vasco da Gama.
Bartolomeu Dias was a knight royal palace, served as head of the royal
warehouse keeper and is expert sailing from Saint Christopher army. No
one knows for sure about the origin Dias as a child. History
only records when he was appointed by the King John II of Portugal as the head
of the expedition to sail around the tip of South Africa (Tnjung Hope) with the
hope to find a new trade route to Asia on 10th Oct ober 1486. He was born
around 1450 and died in 1500.
Information about the cruise Dias is
not much available. It
was because of the records stored voyage of Dias in Sao Jorge castle on fire as
terrible earthquake at Lisbon in 1755.

Vasco da Gama or the other. But
exploration at that time was a dangerous journey where still surging Crusades. His
voyage not only open the lines of a sea route to Hndia but also to pave the

Dias departing from Lisbon to make the voyage using three ships in August

The expedition sailed south along the west coast of Africa. He

rounded the Cape of Good Hope, Dias went on a trip to the east. Dias
expedition reached the furthest point on March 12, 1488 when they arrived and
docked in Kwaaihoek, near the mouth of the Bushman's River.
Dias actually want to continue to sail to India, but he was forced back
when the crew refused to continue the journey. On
the way home he found the Cape of Good Hope in May 1488. Dias returned to
Lisbon in December of 1488. The discovery of Cape of Good Hope in Africa is
very important because the journey will be forwarded by Vasco da Gama will
reach Malabar, India. Diaz
